The first song on Lil Yachty’s Let’s Start Here. is nearly seven minutes long and features labored singing from Yachty, a wild guitar solo, the whole second half is all instrumental on some late 70s star gazing ish. “the BLACK seminole.” is an extremely fulfilling listen, in fact, I would say this album is made for long drives and road trips. Yachty has been playing with his sound lately, just a few months earlier he delivered the beautifully off-radar and instantly viral “Poland”.
It seems we have a lot to process and get used to with Yachty’s new sound, as he puts it on “the BLACK seminole.,” he’s got “No time to joke around/The kid is now a man/And the silence is filled with remarkable sounds.”
